The Role

To strengthen our Real Estate Management Team, we are looking for a Real Estate Manager who will actively support our Management Team by providing excellent service.

The ideal candidate will be a real estate enthusiast who is motivated to take on all aspects and tasks assigned to them by the Real Estate Management Team. The ideal candidate will also be keen to develop and maintain quality tenant relationships. Frequent tenant contact through personal interaction is particularly important in this regard.

The Real Estate Manager will report directly to the Head of Strategic Relations & Development and the Head of Real Estate Management in Berlin.

Responsibilities

  • Responsibile for commercial property and asset management within the real estate team with flat hierarchies
  • Negotiating tenancy agreements and developing and maintaining tenant relationships are among the most important components of the job
  • Taking over and setting up properties as part of the acquisition process in the portfolio management system
  • Recording and maintaining master data using the software programme we use (Realax)
  • Independent and service-oriented tenant support including tenant and property-specific communication
  • Ensuring the ongoing operational management (commercial, administrative) of the properties in accordance with the property strategy
  • Lease contract management incl. monitoring of lease contract rights and obligations or their adjustment and enforcement on your own responsibility
  • Preparation and support of negotiations with tenants and services as well as subsequent drafting of contracts
  • Regular property inspections (quality assurance of the building stock) as well as handover and acceptance of leased space
  • Ongoing management and control of external FM service providers and suppliers, commissioning of services for ongoing management, maintenance and servicing
  • Support in legal disputes in coordination with the in-house legal department
  • Preparation of service charge statements and processing of objections
  • Undertaking all necessary audits
  • Preparation of annual budget planning at property level

The Candidate

Education

  • A successfully completed apprenticeship in the real estate sector or a comparable professional qualification

Experience

  • Professional experience in the real estate sector and good knowledge of tenancy law desirable or university graduates
  • Very good communication skills and confident interaction with tenants
  • Organised, structured and team-oriented way of working
  • Confident handling of MS Office
  • Very good knowledge of German; good knowledge of English desirable
  • Class B driving licence

Salary: Dependent upon experience
