For nearly five years we are managing the second-largest local retail centre in the Vogtland region – a centre of great regional importance that has been a cornerstone of Plauen’s retail infrastructure for the past 30 years. Last week, we celebrated this special anniversary with a vibrant stage program, interactive activities, and many visitors from across the Vogtland.
Future-Proof Retail Real Estate
As a long-term operator, we are deeply committed to the continued development and attractiveness of the centre. Our ambitions go far beyond traditional property management: together with our sister companies, we invest in renewable energy, modern building technology, digital sensors for energy and data monitoring, and a range of social and environmental initiatives around the centre. Among the giveaways for our guests were fresh herbs – locally and vertically grown by Potager Farm – and honey harvested from the beehives on the centre’s rooftop, part of the Beezdorf initiative.
Strong Tenant Relationships
A heartfelt thank-you goes out to the many guests from politics and business who joined us for the soft opening – including Tobias Kämpf, Plauen’s Mayor for Culture, Sports, Youth, and Social Affairs; Thomas Hennig, District Administrator of Vogtlandkreis; Anja Chemnitzer of IPH Group Center Management; representatives from the Greenman Group; and our tenants.
We would especially like to thank our long-standing retail partners – ALDI Nord, Kaufland, Ernsting’s family, McDonald’s, the center’s pharmacy, and many more – for their trust, commitment, and shared efforts, which have significantly contributed to the positive development of this location.
District Administrator Thomas Hennig remarked on the occasion:
“30 years of retail – that’s something you can’t take for granted. Retail remains an important pillar of our regional economy. We are all the more pleased to have such a dedicated owner actively investing in this location’s future.”
We also extend our sincere thanks to the many representatives of local clubs, institutions, and businesses from Plauen who came to celebrate with us. We look forward to the next 30 years of connection and progress – together with our partners, tenants, and the people of Vogtland.
