Julia Duffner joined the GFORM team as HR Manager on 01.09.2023. Hello Julia, welcome to GFORM! We are delighted that you have chosen to work at GFORM and have been an important part of our team for almost 3 months now.
Why did you choose GFORM in particular?
I chose GFORM because I found the discussions with the CPO, CFO and CEO to be very respectful and on an equal footing right from the start. I immediately felt very comfortable, there was clear communication and no lengthy, tedious selection processes. I also wanted to work for a company whose business model ensures sustainability plays a large role.
What skills and experience do you bring to your new role at GFORM?
I trained as a bank clerk, worked as an accountant after completing my business studies and then found my passion in HR. To date, I have performed various generalist HR functions in international fashion retail companies. In addition to in-depth HR expertise, I bring a modern HR approach, as I am convinced that an appreciative working environment and satisfied employees are the key to a company’s success.
Personal fun fact about you.
I love football, played actively for 2 years in my youth and have now been a loyal member of the Bundesliga football club 1. FC Köln for 8 years.
Is there a particular book, article or podcast episode that has inspired or influenced you recently?
“Try to make your life” by Margot Friedländer
I am very interested in history and prefer to read books that contain true, personal experiences and eyewitness accounts. Such stories make me realise how lucky I am to be able to lead a free life since birth and how important it is to show zero tolerance towards any form of discrimination and racism.
