Greenman have always prided themselves on doing things differently, such as providing as many services “in-house” as possible, from asset management and operational functions provided to its centres. Following this hands on approach allows us to build strong relationships with our tenants and the local community who frequent our centres.
Throughout the year our marketing team run regular events in our retail centres, from Summer outdoor cinemas to Christmas markets, in order to attract footfall, promote our tenants, support the community and ensure our centres remain relevant, busy and at the heart of the community.
The Biesdorf Centre in Berlin has been very active within the local neighbourhood, from supporting the nearby animal shelter to sponsoring the local football club, Fortuna Biesdorf. This week, the annual St. Martin’s Day Lantern Parade took place. A highlight in the local event calendar, this year the parade was altered to allow for social distancing. Local kindergarten classes paraded behind St. Martin on his horse, watched by friends and family who lit the way with lanterns. Taking a look at some of the pictures, showing the impact projects such as this make on community spirit, our centre’s customers and our centre’s image.
Greenman’s focus on community and relationships is an integral part of our strategy. Working directly with local schools, the football club and the local council allows the centre to become an important part of the community, ensuring relevancy, support and footfall.
