Last week, the centre in Tuttlingen opened its doors after only twelve months of construction. Rewe and Aldi took the first step and each opened a new store in the mixed-use hybrid centre with long-term leases of 15 years. A total of around 3,200 square metres of sales space is available, and a bakery is attached to the Rewe store. The building includes 150 parking spaces for bicycles and cars, as well as parking spaces with an e-charging station for e-cars and e-bikes. The construction of 70 rental flats, which are being built in the asset and should be ready for occupancy in July, is also proceeding according to plan. After completion, the centre will then be operated entirely by Greenman OPEN (OPEN).
The mixed-use hybrid centre at Tuttlingen’s Aesculap-Platz was acquired by OPEN last year. The balance of residential and retail means that the site area is optimally utilised and will from now on enable a close shopping experience in a central location which is relevant and sustainable for the long-term.
The centre in Tuttlingen is part of a framework agreement between OPEN and the leading German real estate developer Schoofs Immobilien and underlines the trust and commitment of both parties in working together to develop and build a long-term relationship.
